SureSeen
LLC Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us.
To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice
explaining our online information practices and the choices
you can make about the way your information is collected and
used on this Web site. Please see our Terms and Conditions for additional
information applicable to use of our Web site, Products, and
Services.
This privacy statement applies to the SureSeen
website, products and services that are located in, but not
limited to the SureSeen.com and GiveMeSomething.com domains.
Information Collection and Use
SureSeen is the sole owner of information collected on this
site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to
others in ways different from what is disclosed in this
statement. Information is collected from our users at several
different points on our website.
You do
not have to give us personally identifiable information in
order to visit our Web site. However, on the Web site, you may
be able to order products, enter contests, participate in a
survey or otherwise express an opinion, subscribe to one of
our services such as our online newsletters, or participate in
one of our online forums or communities. Personally
identifiable information is generally provided and collected
when you search, buy, bid, post, participate in a contest or
questionnaire, or communicate with customer service. As a
result of those actions, you may supply us with such
information as your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail
address, contact preferences, credit card information,
financial information and information relating to a support or
service issue that may, alone or in combination with other
data, constitute personally identifiable information. If we
collect personally identifiable information from you, you are
giving us permission to use that information for the specific
purpose for which it is provided and to contact you regarding
site services, improve or enhance site performance, to offer
you information regarding products and services, fulfill
product orders, improve our Web site, to communicate to you
about other matters that may be of interest to you and for any
other purpose described in this Privacy Policy. Users
unwilling to provide personally identifiable information
online can choose to work with a sales representative or
customer service representative to utilize member services or
other site offerings.
We also may collect, store and use certain non-personally
identifiable information when you visit many of our Web pages
such as the type of browser you are using (e.g., Firefox,
Internet Explorer, etc), the type of operating system you are
using, (e.g., Windows, Mac OS or Linux, etc) and the domain
name of your Internet service provider (e.g., Embarq,
Time-Warner, etc.). In addition, we aggregate data from
multiple users in a manner that is not personally identifiable
and use such data as we deem appropriate.
Security and Privacy
We take every precaution to protect the confidentiality and
security of your personal information by using
industry–recognized security safeguards such as firewalls,
coupled with carefully developed security procedures to
protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorized
alteration. When we collect sensitive account information such
as credit card numbers, we protect its transmission through
the use of encryption such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
protocol.
SureSeen takes care to reinforce the
importance of our website visitors' security and privacy among
our employees. Our employees are trained and required to
safeguard your information and, using physical, electronic and
procedural safeguards, we restrict access to personal
information to those employees and agents for business
purposes only. Additionally, we use internal and external
resources to review the adequacy of our security procedures.
We will never share, sell, or rent your
personal information with third parties for their promotional
use (or your private marketing list). Occasionally, we enter
into contracts with third parties so that they can assist us
in servicing you (for example, providing customer service).
The contracts prohibit them from using any of your personal
information for their own purposes, and they are required to
maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to
them. Lastly, we may disclose or report personal information
in limited circumstances where we believe in good faith that
disclosure is required under the law. For example, we may be
required to disclose personal information to cooperate with
regulators or law enforcement authorities, to comply with a
legal process such as court order, subpoena, search warrant,
or law enforcement request.
Cookies and Web Beacons
To enhance your
experience with our Web site, many of our Web pages use
"cookies." Cookies are text files we place in your
computer's browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by
themselves, do not tell us your e-mail address or other
personally identifiable information unless you choose to
provide this information to us by, for example, registering at
our Web site. However,
once you choose to furnish our Web site with personally
identifiable information, this information may be linked to
the data stored in the cookie.
We use cookies to understand site usage and to improve the
content and offerings on our Web site.
For example, we may use cookies to personalize your
experience at our Web pages (e.g., to recognize you by name
when you return to our Web site), save your password in
password-protected areas and enable you to use shopping carts
on our Web site. We also may use cookies to offer you
products, programs or services.
"Web beacons" or clear .gifs are small pieces of
code placed on a Web page to monitor the behavior and collect
data about the visitors viewing a Web page. For example, Web
beacons or similar technology can be used to count the users
who visit a Web page or to deliver a cookie to the browser of
a visitor viewing that page. We may use Web beacons or similar
technology on this Web site from time to time for this and
other purposes.
Choice/Opt–out
SureSeen’s Anti–Spam Policy tolerates only
permission-based email. In
addition, users always have the opportunity to opt–out or
change preferences via a link in the footer of all
non–transactional email messages. These options are made
available when you sign–up for our email lists and in email
messages delivered from our company.
Some communications (e.g. important account
notifications and billing information) are considered
transactional and are necessary for all SureSeen customers.
You must cancel your SureSeen account to unsubscribe from
these communications. To cancel your account, please email us
at support@sureseen.com.
Links
Some of our sites provide links to third–party websites,
such as those of our business partners and online advertising
partners. While on these sites, they may collect information
about you. Because SureSeen does not control the information
policies or practices of these third parties, you should
review their privacy policies to learn more about how they
collect and use personally identifiable information.
Notification of Changes
This policy is in effect as of December 2009. If we decide to
change our privacy policy in any material way, we will post
those changes on the SureSeen Website so our users are always
aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under
what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
